Born in Iran and raised across multiple countries, Damon Fonooni, known as Habersham, made Atlanta, Georgia his home. He was still in his early twenties, and balancing a full-time academic schedule, when his music began travelling well beyond it.

Habersham never limited his vision to the local scene. His sights were set on the global stage from the start, and his original productions and remixes earned support from some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Craig Richards, Saeed & Palash, Barry Gilbey, Sander Kleinenberg, Martin Villeneuve (MV/Envy), Chris Fortier, Tim Skinner, Jimmy Van M, Koma & Bones, Ben Camp, Paolo Mojo, Jason Jollins, Hector Romero, Gene Carbonell, and Phil K.

Phil K licensed Habersham’s single Mister Cool (Music Is Freedom) for his acclaimed Balance 004 compilation, and another of his tracks was featured in Phil K’s guest mix on John Digweed’s Kiss FM show, exposing his work to a worldwide audience.

For Hunya Munya, Habersham co-produced Dune In Erf Minor and Doolesitlike with Darius Kohanim (HMDIGITAL004 and 005, 2005), and remixed the Revitalized EP (HMR005, 2006).
