Sweden's Erik Pettersson produces progressive house and melodic techno as Sonic Union, an 18-year DJing and production career threading remix work, label management, and mastering. Over 200 releases to date on Anjunadeep, Sudbeat, Replug, Mango Alley, Outta Limits, and Global Underground, with ongoing support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J. He has remixed and been remixed by Quivver, Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi, Cid Inc, Ryan Davis, and Jamie Stevens.
Erik owns and manages Lowbit Records, which hit its 200th release in October 2017 and marked ten years of underground electronic in 2018. Lowbit's roster runs through Cid Inc, Guy Mantzur, Marcelo Vasami, Khen, Chicola, Chris Cargo, and Kasper Koman, with label output consistently picked up by Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Carl Cox, Above & Beyond, and Nick Warren.
Technical behind the decks with an uplifting energy to his sets, Sonic Union has played across Europe, Japan, USA, Canada, Argentina, and India, and holds residencies in his native Sweden and in Canada.
On Hunya Munya Records, Sonic Union co-authored the "Massive Remix" and "Cut It Remix" of Thee-O's The Music Speaks (HMDIGITAL012, 2007) alongside Bastards Of Funk.
